The data we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, the items you buy and the status of your payment. Your card details are handled by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login email and order history.
• Messages: what you send us by email or through the contact form.
• Device and browsing data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you reached us. Some of this is collected with cookies. See our Cookie policy.
• Marketing choices: whether you have agreed to receive emails from us.

Why we use your data

You can withdraw consent at any time. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your cookie choices as explained in our Cookie policy.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the companies that help us run the shop:

• Shopify, which hosts our website and checkout and processes orders.
• Payment providers, including card networks, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, to take your payment.
• Our fulfilment partner and delivery carriers, who receive your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel.
• Parcel Panel, which powers our order tracking page.
• Google, for advertising and for measuring how our adverts perform, when you have consented to advertising cookies.
• TrackBee (EC Solutions Software B.V., the Netherlands), which measures which adverts lead to orders, when you have consented.
• Google Workspace, which provides our email.
• hCaptcha, which protects our contact form from spam.

We may also share data with authorities or advisers when the law requires it.

Sending data outside the UK

Our fulfilment partner is in Asia. To deliver your order we send it your name, delivery address and phone number. This transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you.

Our company is based in the United States, and some of our service providers, such as Shopify and Google, process data in other countries, including the United States and Canada. They rely on safeguards approved under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

• Order records: up to 6 years after your order, to meet tax and accounting rules.
• Messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
• Marketing details: until you unsubscribe.
• Cookies: for the periods listed in our Cookie policy.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of your personal data;
• ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data;
• ask us to restrict how we use your data;
• object to our use of your data, including for direct marketing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email info@thehouseofbeatrice.co.uk. We reply within one month and do not charge a fee.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please email us first at info@thehouseofbeatrice.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and look into it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Children

Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
